Honor 200 PTA Tax in Pakistan 2026

The Honor 200 PTA tax in Pakistan is around PKR 23,420 on CNIC and PKR 17,800 on passport. The Honor 200 Pro is around PKR 23,007 on CNIC and PKR 13,600 on passport. The Honor 200 Lite is lower, at around PKR 14,661 on CNIC and PKR 12,200 on passport.
Yes, the Pro costs less to register than the standard model. That looks like a mistake and it is not. The reason is explained further down.
There is something else you should know before you use these numbers. The Honor 200 is not on the FBR list of fixed phone values. That list names specific models and gives each one a set customs value, and the Honor 200 series is absent from it. So customs works out the value of your device and places it in a rate bracket, and the bracket decides what you pay. This makes the amounts on this page estimates rather than published figures.
The basic rule first. Every phone used in Pakistan has to be registered with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority before it can accept a local SIM. If it is not registered, no Pakistani SIM will work in it and only Wi-Fi will work. To register it you pay a tax, collected by FBR. The amount depends on the value of the phone and on whether you register with your CNIC or your passport.
Honor 200 PTA Tax in Pakistan 2026
| Model | Assessed Bracket | PTA Tax on CNIC | PTA Tax on Passport |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honor 200 Pro | Above USD 500 | PKR 23,007 | PKR 13,600 |
| Honor 200 | USD 350 to 500 | PKR 23,420 | PKR 17,800 |
| Honor 200 Lite | USD 200 to 350 | PKR 14,661 | PKR 12,200 |
| Honor 200 Smart | USD 100 to 200 | PKR 8,651 | PKR 6,670 |
Four different phones carry the Honor 200 name and they do not cost the same to register. Check which one you have before you use any figure from this table.
Which Honor 200 Do You Have
This matters more here than it does with most phones, because the gap between the cheapest and the most expensive model in this family is around PKR 15,000.
Open Settings, scroll down to About phone, and read the model name. It is also printed on the box label. Do not go by how much the phone cost, because grey market prices in Pakistan do not follow the model order.
| Model | Screen | Launch Price | Main Camera |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honor 200 Pro | 6.78 inch | Around GBP 700 | 50MP triple |
| Honor 200 | 6.7 inch | Around GBP 500 | 50MP triple |
| Honor 200 Lite | 6.7 inch | GBP 279.99 | 108MP |
| Honor 200 Smart | 6.8 inch | Lowest of the four | 50MP |
The Pro and the standard 200 look similar from the front. The quickest way to separate them is the screen. The Pro has a curved display on both edges and the standard model does not.
The Lite is easier. It has a flat screen, a plastic frame, and a 108MP main camera instead of the 50MP setup on the other two.
Why the Honor 200 Is Not on the FBR List
FBR Valuation Ruling No. 2076 of 2026 lists named phone models and gives each one a fixed customs value in dollars. If your phone is on that list, the value is already decided and nobody has to assess anything.
No Honor 200 model is on it. Not the standard 200, not the Pro, not the Lite, not the Smart.
When a phone is not named in the ruling, customs assesses the device under the Customs Act instead. The officer looks at the declared cost and freight value on the import paperwork, compares it against what the phone sells for internationally, and places it in a bracket. This is why two people carrying the same Honor 200 can end up paying different amounts. Their declared values were different.
Our guide to the FBR valuation ruling for used phones explains which models are on the list and how those fixed values were set.
How the Amount Is Worked Out
FBR does not charge tax as a percentage of the phone's value. It puts phones into brackets, and every phone in a bracket pays one fixed amount. These are the brackets that apply to the Honor 200 family under Budget 2026-27.
| Phone Value | Tax on CNIC | Tax on Passport |
|---|---|---|
| USD 100 to USD 200 | PKR 8,651 | PKR 6,670 |
| USD 200 to USD 350 | PKR 14,661 | PKR 12,200 |
| USD 350 to USD 500 | PKR 23,420 | PKR 17,800 |
| Above USD 500 | PKR 23,007 | PKR 13,600 |
Look at the last two rows. The bracket above USD 500 charges less than the bracket below it. On CNIC the difference is PKR 413. On passport it is PKR 4,200.
This happened on 1 July 2026, when the rates were reduced for phones valued above USD 500. That reduction pulled the top bracket below the one underneath it, and the USD 350 to 500 bracket did not get the same cut.
The Honor 200 Pro sits in the top bracket and the standard Honor 200 sits in the bracket below it. That is the whole reason the more expensive phone costs less to register.
Honor 200 PTA Tax on CNIC and Passport
PTA charges two different rates for the same phone. The rate you pay depends on the document you register with.
| Model | CNIC | Passport | Passport Saves |
|---|---|---|---|
| Honor 200 Pro | PKR 23,007 | PKR 13,600 | PKR 9,407 |
| Honor 200 | PKR 23,420 | PKR 17,800 | PKR 5,620 |
| Honor 200 Lite | PKR 14,661 | PKR 12,200 | PKR 2,461 |
| Honor 200 Smart | PKR 8,651 | PKR 6,670 | PKR 1,981 |
The passport rate is not a choice you can simply pick. You must have brought the phone into Pakistan yourself, and your passport must show that you arrived recently. If a relative carried the phone in for you, the passport rate belongs to them and not to you.
Each device can only be registered once, under one document. For most people reading this, the CNIC rate applies.
The Honor 200 Was Never Launched in Pakistan Officially
Honor did not bring the 200 series to Pakistan through official channels. The series launched in China in May 2024 and in Europe in June 2024, and it never got a Pakistani launch.
Pakistani price websites still show the phone as coming soon or not launched. They publish an expected price anyway, and those prices do not agree with each other. One site lists the Honor 200 Lite at PKR 68,999. Another lists the same phone at PKR 183,999. That is close to three times the difference for one device.
Two things follow from this. First, you cannot work backwards from a local price to guess your tax, because there is no reliable local price. Second, every Honor 200 in Pakistan arrived either in someone's luggage or through the grey market, which means almost every one of them needs registering by the person holding it.
Where the Bracket Line Costs You
Two of these four phones sit close to a bracket boundary, and that is where your amount becomes hard to predict.
The standard Honor 200 trades internationally at around USD 536 today. That is just above the USD 500 line. Assessed as a used device it will most likely land in the USD 350 to 500 bracket, which is the figure used on this page. Assessed at a higher declared value it lands above USD 500 instead. On CNIC the two outcomes are only PKR 413 apart, so it barely matters. On passport the gap is PKR 4,200, so it matters a lot.
The Honor 200 Lite sits near the USD 200 line. Below that line the CNIC amount is PKR 8,651. Above it the amount is PKR 14,661. That is a difference of PKR 6,010 on a phone that cost GBP 279.99 new, and there is no way to know in advance which side your device will land on.
If your phone is one of these two, check the DIRBS figure before you plan around any estimate.
Does Storage or RAM Change the Tax
No. The Honor 200 Pro was sold in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB versions, with 12GB or 16GB of RAM. None of that changes what you pay to register it.
Registration is charged per device against the assessed value of the model. A 1TB Honor 200 Pro and a 256GB Honor 200 Pro pay the same amount.
Is It Worth Registering an Honor 200
Work out the total before you decide, not the tax on its own.
For the Honor 200 Pro, add around PKR 23,007 to whatever you are being asked for the phone. It has a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a 6.78 inch OLED screen and three 50MP cameras, so it still competes with current mid range phones. If the total lands well under what a new phone with those specs costs, it is worth it.
For the standard Honor 200, the same maths applies with a slightly higher CNIC amount. Check the battery health before you agree a price, because these phones are two years old now.
For the Honor 200 Lite, the tax is lower but so is the phone. It runs a Dimensity 6080, which is an entry level chip. Add PKR 14,661 to the asking price and compare that total against a new phone in the same range, because there are several sold officially in Pakistan with a warranty.
One point applies to all four. Honor has no official service network in Pakistan for these models, so repairs mean third party shops and imported parts. Factor that in alongside the tax.
How to Check the Exact PTA Tax on Your Honor 200
- Dial *#06# on the phone to see the IMEI number. You can also find it in Settings, then About phone.
- Open the official DIRBS portal at dirbs.pta.gov.pk.
- Enter the IMEI and check the status of the device.
- If it is not registered, go to the registration section and start a request.
- The system gives you a PSID with the exact tax for that IMEI.
- Pay the PSID through your bank app, an ATM, or a bank branch.
For a phone that is not named in the valuation ruling, this step matters more than usual. The PSID amount is the real one and every estimate, including the ones on this page, is worked out from brackets rather than from a published value for your model.
Our guide on how to check PTA tax covers every available method, the PTA tax check by IMEI guide covers that route step by step, and you can check the tax on any phone model with our calculator.
If Your Honor 200 Is Already Blocked
Blocked means the 60 day period ended and the SIM stopped working. Nothing else happens.
There is no fine. The tax does not increase because you waited. Wi-Fi keeps working the whole time, and so does everything that runs over Wi-Fi. You can register the phone today and it will work again once the payment clears, usually within a day.
If you bought the phone secondhand and it was already blocked, register it on your own CNIC. You do not need the previous owner and you do not need any documents from them.
Can You Pay the Honor 200 PTA Tax in Installments
No. PTA tax is one payment against the PSID that DIRBS gives you. There is no official installment option for any model. Our post on the PTA tax installment plan explains the current position in full.
